Don’t let rain ruin your day… Wedding styled shoot on 23.02.2018

Last Friday, we had the most amazing time doing a collaboration with some awesome local wedding vendors! Bree from Little White Couture organised and coordinated this styled photoshoot. Everything was going according to her plan but the weather….

The weather forecast wasn’t perfect, it was quite the opposite in fact, with rain and storms predicted all day on Friday. Thoughts of cancelling the shoot were floating about but this bunch of strong willed ladies decided to go ahead and carry on with the plan.
For this styled photoshoot we created a gorgeous white, fully wired cascading bouquet with a touch of light pink. We used roses, Singapore orchids, spray carnations and Phalaenopsis orchids. Creating a cascading wired bouquet is a very time consuming task and after spending a few hours on this bouquet, the last thing we wanted to hear was that the event was cancelled! And it wasn’t!

At the location, Shorncliff pier, the skies were dark grey, it rained and it was quite chilly but everyone was in a great spirit, we laughed and we stayed positive. Samantha from Samatha Anne Makeup Artistry was doing her magic on our beautiful model Carrie under a shelter next to the pier. Kylie, our incredibly talented photographer, did a fantastic job taking a series of images of our bride Carrie who, posing in her stunning dresses from Happily Ever After Bridal, wasn’t even shivering under the blows of the wind.
It was wet and windy but we pulled through and now we are happy to share the results of our collaboration with you.

It was our pleasure to be part of this day and we can’t wait to work with this group of talented wedding vendors again!
